Latin America is fast emerging as a global hub for carbon dioxide removal (CDR). From mineralization projects in Brazil to biochar and regenerative agriculture initiatives across Chile and Mexico, the region is translating climate ambition into tangible climate action — advancing carbon removal while creating jobs, supporting communities, and restoring ecosystems.
Hosted by the Carbon Business Council in collaboration with regional partners, this session will convene leading project developers, buyers, and business networks to explore how carbon removal is being deployed on the ground — and how investment, innovation, and supportive policy can accelerate progress. The discussion will draw on insights from the forthcoming Latin America Carbon Removal Investment Roadmap and the Council’s new Latin America Working Group, highlighting opportunities for regional leadership and global collaboration ahead of COP30
